The Genetics of Habits

Dr. Ray White is the Director of the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center and is the Rudi Schmid Distinguished Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Raymond White is a pioneer in developing genetic markers that have become the basis for genetic mapping of human genes that underlie inherited human disorders, such as cancer and neurological disease. Recently Dr. White has become interested in the genetics of behavioral disorders, most specifically the genetics of alcoholism and alcohol abuse.

The First Environment

Dr. Clem Donahue is a pediatrician at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) and at the University of California San Francisco. He is the medical director of the Epiphany Center, a clinic for drug exposed children and their families. He also treats adolescents at the Children's Health Center at SFGH.
