The Nitty Gritty
Doctor Nripendra Dhillon
Doctor Nripendra Dhillon is a physician who has been a member of the teaching faculty of the School of Medicine with the Department of Anatomy at the University of California San Francisco since 1992. He enjoys working with what he believes to be some of the smartest minds in the world as they begin their careers in medicine. He finds guiding them as they learn about the human body through their dissection-based courses to be very rewarding. He is the winner of multiple teaching awards and has co-authored several books on anatomy. He is hopeful that the audience of Nei Jing Now! will find an equivalent joy in learning about their own minds and bodies through the information they gain here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
they say i am beautiful
but beauty fades
they say true beauty
is on the inside
but if i look
inside i see
pink glistening intestines
moving, writhing,
scarlet blood
yellow greasy omentous fat
green slimy bile
soupy oily chyme
liquidy secretions
slippery mucus
crimson flesh
a plump pancreas and
a smooth shiny liver
wormy guts full of
brown pungent feces
and malodorous gas
i am indeed
truly beautiful
wondrously so
and this beauty too shall pass
(especially the gas)
